Forever Grateful As a conference representative for Lamplighter, I am constantly asked Which book is your favorite? My first response is always - All of them!. Upon more thoughtful consideration, I have to say that each book, and I have read each and every one, is unique and special for different reasons. Hedge of Thorns was the first one I ever read. Not only did this little book open the door to Lamplighter but it had such a profound effect upon my life that I have never looked at circumstances the same since! I tended to gravitate towards the Woe is me attitude when situations did not turn out the way I had envisioned. After reading this little volume I was struck by the profound truth that God truly does see vastly more than we can imagine and He is the one who orchestrates our path. It is through His guidance, that we are allowed to experience the trials of life, in order that we may be refined, or at the very least, that we may be spared an even greater tragedy, through an unwise choice that He would not approve. After reading Hedge of Thorns, I went on to devour each and every Rare Collector that I could get my hands on! To this day, I still wait expectantly, and at times impatiently, for the next masterpiece to roll off the press.
