The Tapestry of our Lives I just finished this treasure! The truths throughout this little novel, mirrored many of those found in another of my favorites - The Hedge Of Thorns. If only we would remember, that it is God who orchestrates our lives. He is the one who sets our feet down upon a path of His choosing. Even when we do not see his wisdom in the direction that our lives take, He IS in control. The author skillfully weaves the circumstances of young Allis life, to culminate in blessings that are over and above what Alli ever dreamed. If in his darkest times of trial and broken dreams, Alli remembers to trust the Lord, and he is richly rewarded. I so enjoyed this book. It reminded me of a poem: My life is but a weaving, Between the Lord and me. I cannot choose the colors, He worketh steadily. Oft times He weaveth sorrow, And I in foolish pride, Forget He sees the upper, And I the underside. Not till the loom is silent, And the shuttles cease to fly, Shall God unroll the canvas, And explain the reasons why.
