Right from the start my heart ached for Treffy and the dear little orphan Christie. What a precious friendship is formed as these two friendless and desolate page 21 and an old song link their hearts together not only with each other but with their true home in Christ. I could not help but think Ecclesiastes 3:11He has made everything appropriate in its time He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. The little barrel organ that Treffy cherishes serves through out the story to gather the appropriate people and cirmcumstances together for Gods purpose, not wishing for any to perish. This story reminds me of how important it is for us to share our hopes, questions, sufferings and joy with each other so that God may be seen in our lives. Another great little read aloud book that kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Where have I been that I missed these little books growing up and how they may have brought me to Jesus, our Home, Sweet Home sooner!! Debra Kent

Christies Old Organ is a family favorite in our home, from grandparents to little ones. I was truly caught off guard by the poignant lesson of Christs love in this unassuming little book. I have used it as a witness for those seeking Christ. It paints such a true and lovely picture of Jesus. If you already know Jesus, this book will refresh and renew your appreciation for Him. What a wonderful story to begin introducing Jesus and his love to little children. Everyone should read this book!!!
